Your destination for Baja Mexico Fishing! Ventana Sport Fishing Resort is right on the water in La Ventana, on Baja's North East cape. So if you stay with us, there's no 50-minute van ride between a hotel in La Paz and the world-class fishing. When the day is done and you're hot and tired (hopefully from catching so many fish) you can jump off the boat and right into a hammock or pool, rather than jumping back into a van. (Think about it.. on a 5 day trip, staying in La Paz, you'll be spending a total of 10 hours in a van going back and forth to the bay!)

At Ventana Sport Fishing Resort, the atmosphere is quiet, comfortable and laid back. Full capacity is approx. 28 people. You'll choose from one of our private, cozy, custom-built cabanas, most with ocean views. There is A/C and daily maid service too.

Our food, served in our beachside restaurant, is included in your room rate, and wins raves for being delicious, healthy and locally-sourced. We send you out on the water with a nice sack lunch and we'll even cook up your catch for dinner.

Baja's North East Cape is world-reknowned as one of the most reliable and best values in saltwater sportfishing. Using live bait, trolled lures, and/or fly-casting, you can fish for Sierra Mackerel (Jan-May), Yellowtail (Feb- May), Tuna(March - July) , Snapper & Cabrilla (March-May), Wahoo(April-June & Oct-Dec), Dorado & Marlin (May-Dec), Amber Jack (May-July) and Rooster Fish (May-July). Fly fishing for Roosters is an awesome option, and Ventana bay is the spot where these remarkable fish congregate.

You can even try fishing from an SUP board.

You'll be set up with an experienced and knowledgeable local captain whose modern, up-to-date panga will have a retractable sun shade, 4-stroke engine, water, ice, and bait. Bring your own tackle, or it will be provided for you.
